Ion Exchange System Keeps Rinse Waters Out Of Drain Entirely
Designed to remove dissolved ions surfactants, wetting agents and solid particulate material from rinse waters, the Blackfast Chemicals Ion Exchange System
allows the user to operate a variety of metal finishing processes while keeping drains at zero discharge.
The primary benefit is that the process rinsing tanks can be physically disconnected from the drain.
System operation is simple and is the best option for meeting stringent sewer and water regulations. The Blackfast Ion Exchange System
removes contaminants from rinse water which are recycled in a closed loop through filter media and generates de-ionized water to be re-used over and over.
When the filter tanks become saturated the media can be simply removed and disposed of through a licensed waste contractor.
The filter tanks can then be regenerated with fresh media and the system is ready for use.

Adaptable to all finishing lines, the Ion Exchange system has these features:
- Centrifugal pump rated for 60-80 litres per minute.
- 60 cm pre filter chamber to remove larger particles from the water.
- 2 x 25 litre carbon filter columns to remove all organics such as detergents, wetting agents etc.
- 1 x 25 litre Deionisation Resin column to remove all dissolved ions from the water.
